Pitch a Story

Have a story? Pitch it here!

First, please describe the who, what, when, where, and why of your story.

E.g. “Federal officials recently rejected the applications of three Wyandotte County health clinics vying for “FQHC” status, a designation that would have allowed them to expand services to the poor.”

Although your lead should imply the story’s significance, you may also want to state that significance directly in a sentence or two. For example, tell us why this matters? Who is affected? What’s the impact on the community?

Tell us whether you or your organization have already reported and written the story. If not, let us know a few key questions that would need to be answered to help whoever ends up reporting and writing the story. You may also want to list some sources for the story. This will help us gauge how much work needs to be done to bring the story to publication.
